The SafeHouse Strong 1 mile/5K will take place at Veterans Park in Alabaster, Alabama. The race course is a family and stroller-friendly paved trail. Dogs are welcome but must be kept on a leash.
Proceeds of the SafeHouse Strong 1 mile/5K will be used to support the FREE services that are provided for critical domestic and sexual violence response, prevention, and intervention programs for the communities of Shelby, Coosa, Clay, and Chilton counties in Central Alabama.
If you cannot make it to the onsite SafeHouse Strong 1 mile/5K, you have the option to participate virtually. Just pick a time and place on April 20, 2024 to run or walk the race.
Registration Details
Each registration includes a race bib, medal and t-shirt. First 100 registrants receive a free cooling towel. Additional surprise items will be in the swag bag.
Race packets will be available for pick up at our SafeHouse Community Services Office in Pelham detailed below; if packets are not picked up early, they will be available at check in the day of the race.

Check in will begin at 8:00 am at Pavilion 7. The SafeHouse Strong 1 mile/5K will begin at 9:00 am.
Cancellation and Refund Policy
All registration fees and donations are non-refundable but are tax-deductible. We’ve designated the event date as April 20, 2024.

SafeHouse offers a safe haven for victims and their children in immediate need of shelter and provides comprehensive services to victims of domestic and sexual violence. Our vision is to be an effective agency promoting a society free of domestic and sexual violence. We provide advocacy and support via our 24/7 crisis line, emergency shelter, case management services, counseling program, child advocacy program, SafeShelby sexual assault response services, and extensive prevention intervention and education program.
